onyx stone:
onyx is the same as travertine in terms of process and formation and hardening of stone but difference between onyx and travertine that is onyx is created from springs where water temperature rate is low.
marble stone:
Marble is also obtained from transformation of sedimentary rocks and limestone.
Sedimentary rocks, which are based on calcium, carbonate, calcite, dolomites and crystal; and this stone are affected by extreme temperature and pressure in passing of time finally form marble.
The minerals in marble are calcite, quartz, hematite, limonite which are the main minerals of calcite.
Appearance characteristics of marble:
Waves in form of band that are seen in marble stone texture.
Types of marble:
Marble divided into three categories based on rate of transformation: cloudy, crystal and porcelain.
Marble color:
The main color in marble, which is the most familiar to everyone, is the bright and shiny white color.
Also, marble is available in green, yellow, cream, red, pink, gray and black colors.
Green marble stone is formed due to the presence of silicate minerals and chlorite.
Yellow and cream marble exist due to presence of limonite.
Red and pink marble are also obtained from very small hematite mineral that are very scattered.
Black and gray marble is also made from carbonate containing materials.
