Granite has been discovered in various mines throughout Iran in many cities and village, and it will be probably added to the current number of granite mines in the future.

 

Not only Granite is not limited to Iran; but also in other countries of the world there are various samples and even in high-quality samples of mines have been discovered and quarried.

 

Granite is the same as pumice stones, which is the main origin of these mines in areas where volcanoes are active or have been active before.

 

Granite has a light-color igneous rock with grain large enough to be visible with the unaided eye. Granite form from the slow crystallization of magma below earth’ surface.

 

Internal igneous rocks or granites or pumice stone have a large crystalline texture that show light-color that it emitted unique beauty from granite stones.



 

 

Minerals of granite:

Granit is composed of quartz, feldspar, hornblende and biotite.

But the main minerals of granite are only quartz and feldspar; and the light –color in granite is result of the presence of these two minerals.

Biotite minerals as well as hornblende mineral caused dark colors in granite.



Various colors in granite stones:

As we explained in above topic, the light background color is due to the presence of quartz and feldspar; also white, cream and orange are in the category of light colors.

The gray and black colors you see in granite stones related to Hornblende and Biotite minerals.

Granite stones are usually seen green, cream, white, gray, and black colors.

The color determinant refers to the minerals in the main texture of stones.
